Conte: Six in the title running

Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte expects at least six clubs to be seriously in the running for the Premier League title this season.

The Italian guided the Blues to the title in his first season in charge at Stamford Bridge and expects the job of defending the crown to be just as tough as it was last season.

We know very well in England there are six top teams ready to fight for the title.

Chelsea begin their campaign at home to Burnley on Saturday, with Conte being shorn of the services of Spanish forward Pedro due to an ankle injury and wing-back Victor Moses due to suspension.

He told the club's official website: "I don't know if this season will be more difficult than last season. For sure, we are champions and we have to face every game in the right way.

"The other teams will try to put 120 per cent in against us, so we have to pay great attention in every game, have the right approach and play with the right intensity.

"I think when you start a new season it's very important to think about ourselves and not others. To assess the other teams is not important for us.

"We know very well in England there are six top teams ready to fight for the title, that's normal and I think this season that will happen again."

Chelsea are available at 50/1 to retain their Premier League crown, with Manchester City 1/25 and Manchester United 16/1.

Last season Chelsea beat Burnley 3-0 at Stamford Bridge, with Eden Hazard, Willian, and Moses their goalscorers, while the meeting of the two sides at Turf Moor ended in a 1-1 draw.
