Clement confirms Iceman's absence
Swansea City head coach Paul Clement has confirmed that Gylfi Sigurdsson will not be a part of the squad to face Southampton at St Mary's on Saturday.
The Iceland international midfielder is expected to exit the Liberty Stadium before the transfer window shuts at the end of the month, with Clement preferring that a deal be struck sooner rather than later.

And, with Everton remaining keen to complete the signing of Sigurdsson, Clement fells it would be wrong to include the player in his plans for the Saints clash.
He told reporters: "Sigurdsson will not be involved in the squad.
"I don't anticipate it going to the end of the window. I want it to be resolved as quickly as possible. I like working with him, he is a really good player, good person and every day he comes out and gives his best in training and that has not changed in this period.
"The main point is it hasn't changed my focus of how I work with the players and I include Gylfi in that - all the players have worked hard and we are in good shape going into the first game."
Sigurdsson scored nine times in the Premier League last season, featuring in all 38 games in the competition, being the only ever-present for the Swans.
Minus Sigurdsson, City are 16/5 to gain a draw on Saturday and are 9/2 to keep a clean sheet, with loan signing Tammy Abraham 3/1 to score at any time.
Last season this fixture ended 1-0 to the hosts, with Charlie Austin scoring the only goal of the game just past the hour mark.
