Clement believes in Swans survival

Swansea head coach Paul Clement remains adamant that he has the support of the City dressing room, with his side currently propping up the Premier League table.

The Swans are currently four points adrift of safety, having failed to register a win in their last seven league games.

I feel that this team can get out of this situation.

However, Clement, who engineered an amazing escape from relegation last season, retains plenty of faith that he has the players who can turn the situation around.

He told reporters ahead of a crunch clash with West Brom at the Liberty Stadium: "I'm not a man at the end of my tether, I feel that this team can get out of this situation.

'We're working hard, we just need to turn our preparation during the week into a performance.

"There are no divisions, it is a cohesive dressing room that wants to turn things around and get things right. We've got to pick up points sooner rather than later."

The Swans are 9/5 to pick up all three points against the Baggies on Saturday, with the draw available at 2/1, while a 1-0 City victory is priced at 6/1.

Swansea have won five of their previous six home Premier League clashes with Albion, securing a 2-1 victory in this fixture at the end of last season thanks to goals from Jordan Ayew and Fernando Llorente.

Meanwhile, Clement already has one eye on potential January recruits, with forward players his priority, as the Swans have scored just eight goals in 15 top-flight game played so far this season.

He added: "The priority is forward players. Not just goalscorers, players who can create. We haven't been creating much."
