Manchester City are edging ever nearer the Premier League title, now 18 points clear of the chasing pack.
Their latest victory 1-0 over last season's champions Chelsea means they now need just four more wins from their remaining nine games to be crowned champions.
We need four victories to be champions, it is in our hands and if our behaviour is like today we will be champions.Pep Guardiola
Bernardo Silva scored the goal that beat Antonio Conte's side, getting on the end of a David Silva cross early in the second half.
Chelsea were set up defensively with Alvaro Morata on the bench and, though they pressurised for an equaliser late on, they ended the game without a shot on target.
City though press on and they could be Premier League champions by the time Manchester United visit the Etihad Stadium in early April.
After the match Guardiola admitted the title felt closer. He told the BBC: "It was so important, a win today is another step closer. We need four victories to be champions, it is in our hands and if our behaviour is like today we will be champions.
"Against a strong team like Chelsea, who are still the champions, and beat them in the way we did today, that is why it is so good."
While City are destined to win the title, as last season's champions, Chelsea are struggling to even finish in the top four this time.
This latest defeat means they have now lost four of their last five league games and they stay fifth in the table five points behind fourth-placed Tottenham with nine games left.
City are in action in midweek when they take on FC Basel in the second-leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie, City having won the first game 4-0 in Switzerland.
They are 12121/1 to win the Champions League this season.
They are then back in the Premier League for a game away at Stoke next Monday.
They are 2/9 for the win, Paul Lambert's side are 14/1 with the draw priced at 6/1.
