Benitez welcomes Kenedy return
Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez is hoping to see loan signing Kenedy replicate the form he showed while with the Magpies for part of last season.
The 22-year-old Brazilian forward linked up with Newcastle in January and impressed in scoring twice in 13 Premier League appearances to help the Magpies power clear of relegation danger.
Now he has signed a season-long loan deal to return to St James' Park and Benitez is delighted to have got the deal with Chelsea over the line.
He told the club's official website: "I'm really pleased to have Kenedy back with us. I'm sure every fan will be happy with this signing.
"Hopefully he can keep playing at the same level that he reached with us last season. I wish him all the best for his time here."
Kenedy is the second completed deal of the summer for the Tynesiders, with goalkeeper Martin Dubravka having made a permanent move from Sparta Prague after also impressing while on loan with United last season.
Having secured a return to the top-flight, Newcastle eventually ended in tenth place in the table last season, with a run of four consecutive victories in March and April proving invaluable in their successful bid to retain their top-flight status.
