Struggling Lille have parted company with their 62-year-old former Argentina, Chile and Athletic Bilbao coach Marcelo Bielsa.
The French side appointed Bielsa in May but they have endured a difficult campaign and are currently 18th in the Ligue 1 table.
Lille beat Nantes 3-0 on the opening weekend of the season but they then embarked on a nine-match winless sequence and can be backed at 12121/1 to be relegated this term. Angers are 12121/1 to go down and Metz 1/250.
Bielsa was suspended by the club last month after a 3-0 loss at Amiens and Lille finally confirmed his departure via a brief statement on their Twitter page on Friday.
"Having come to an end of proceedings against Marcelo Bielsa, LOSC announces that it has terminated the contract with the coach," the statement read.
Lille appointed a four-man "technical coaching unit" of Fernando Da Cruz, Joao Sacramento, Benoit Delaval and Franck Mantaux after suspending Bielsa and they have won two and lost two of their last four Ligue 1 games.
They were knocked out of the Coupe de la Ligue on penalties by Nice in midweek.
