Blackburn Rovers have the chance to cause an upset in the second round of the Carabao Cup after being handed a home tie against local rivals Burnley.

Tony Mowbray's side are 1/500 to be promoted from League One this season while the Clarets, 1000/1 to be relegated from the Premier League, sold Andre Gray to Watford earlier this week.

Meanwhile, Southampton, who were beaten by Manchester United in last season's final, will play big-spending Championship side Wolves at St Mary's in the second round.

Newcastle United will host Nottingham Forest, while Bournemouth visit a Birmingham City team that is managed by Harry Redknapp.

West Ham face a potential banana-skin at League Two team Cheltenham Town while Newport County, who narrowly avoided relegation to the National League last term, visit Leeds United.

The second-round ties will be played in the week commencing Monday 21st August.
