Cech expects more from Lacazette

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech says he and his team-mates have to help striker Alex Lacazette more in order to make the most out of his 'immense quality'.

France international Lacazette has scored eight goals in 18 appearances in the Premier League since his big-money summer arrival from Lyon.

He has immense quality in front of the goal (and) it's just a matter of time before more goals will come.

And Cech believes there is plenty more to come from the 26-year-old, who he believes is still adapting his play to match the style of his new team-mates.

He told the club's official website: "Alex is a very intelligent player. The way he plays the game, obviously he has adapted quickly to the way we play.

"I think we, as a team, we need to get more out of him, because sometimes he makes a very good movement but the ball does not arrive every time at the right moment. I think it's a matter of time.

"But, for a player who has just come to the Premier League, I think he's had a pretty good run. He has immense quality in front of the goal (and) it's just a matter of time before more goals will come."

The Gunners are back in action on Tuesday evening when they play host to London rivals West Ham in the quarter-finals of the League Cup.

The two sides met in the Premier League less than a week ago, when the clash at the London Stadium ended in a goalless draw.

Arsenal can be backed at 1/4 to reach the League Cup semi-finals at the expense of the Hammers, with Lacazette available at 20/21 to score at any time, with his fellow Frenchman Olivier Giroud a 8/13 shot.
