Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann took the plaudits after bringing up a century of goals for the club in a 4-0 win over Leganes, which kept up the pressure on Barcelona.

France international Griezmann netted all four goals for Atleti, who moved to within four points of Barca - who take on Las Palmas on Thursday - with the two sides meeting at the Camp Nou on Sunday.

Now let's go to Barcelona to see if we can do something beautiful.

And, having seen Griezmann also score a hat-trick in a 5-2 weekend win at Sevilla, Atleti head coach Diego Simeone told reporters: "He has played at this level at other stages of previous seasons. He is an extraordinary player, he already showed this in the past.

"But also the rest of the team is helping him reach this level.

"The team is in a good moment and with humility we go match by match as always. The moment is good for the team and we need to focus on continuing to improve as a team.

"Now to prepare the Barcelona match in the best way, against a rival who has not lost (in La Liga). It's a nice challenge."

Meanwhile, the in-form Griezmann was also looking ahead to the task of inflicting a first league defeat of the season on Barca, a club he has been heavily linked with in recent weeks.

He added: "Now let's go to Barcelona to see if we can do something beautiful. We have 12 games left and we are going to try to win all of them and we will see how far we can go."

Atleti are 19/4 to win at the Camp Nou on Sunday, with the draw priced at 3/1, while Griezmann is available at 12/5 to score at any time in the game.
