Batshuayi ruled out of friendlies
Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi and Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen will both miss Belgium's international friendly against Mexico.
Batshuayi has a foot injury while Vertonghen is struggling with an ankle problem. After playing agauinst Mexico, the Red Devils face Japan in another friendly on 14th November.
Belgium head coach Roberto Martinez said ahead of Friday's match: "When Michy arrived, he was in pain so he is out of the two matches.
"He didn't train since the beginning of our get-together. He has left for Chelsea."
On his side's approach to the two matches, former Everton boss Martinez added: "We're going to try different things during these two friendlies. This is to see how the players react in the system when we try something else.
"These are good matches. Mexico have qualities to keep possession of the ball. They have talented players and a different style of game to the European nations."
Belgium are 1/2 to beat Mexico and 50/1 to win the 2018 World Cup outright.
Meanwhile, Martinez's side are available at 7/1 to win Friday's match from behind and 7/4 to be the only team to score in the encounter.
