Bale's woes sadden Coleman
Real Madrid and Wales star Gareth Bale is set to be out of action for another month after being told that he has a strained adductor muscle.
The 28-year-old has only played nine games in all competitions this season and none since Real's 3-1 Champions League victory against Borussia Dortmund in September.
Wales boss Chris Coleman said of Bale's latest injury setback: "I don't know the full extent of it but he'll be devastated.
"We haven't had dialogue with Real Madrid, but we'll speak with Gareth in the next few days and find out exactly what it is. It's bad luck, bad news, and he'll be gutted.
"The harder you try to get back you get a setback and sometimes you have to go through that.
"He'll get over [it] and he'll be back. He just needs to get settled again and get his fitness. He needs to take his time and not rush himself back."
Wales have failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup and lost 2-0 to France in an international friendly on Friday.
They are 5/6 to beat Panama, who will be in Russia next summer, in Tuesday's friendly and 17/2 to win the match 2-1.
