Head coach David Wagner praised the fighting qualities of his Huddersfield Town players after they set up an FA Cup fifth round clash with Manchester United.

The Terriers came from behind to win 4-1 after extra-time at Birmingham City, ensuring that they will play host to the Red Devils for a second time this season.

We are happy to have won as it is a win we required to build up momentum for the Premier League.

The Premier League meeting of the two sides at the John Smith's Stadium back in October ended in a 2-1 victory for the hosts and Wagner is looking forward to another chance to face United.

He said after Town had finally subdued the Blues: "We are happy to have won as it is a win we required to build up momentum for the Premier League.

"Fitness-wise we are at top level and it lifts the confidence for playing in the league.

"I've praised the togetherness and character of this dressing room so many times and they showed it again. It could have easily gone differently after they scored the first goal, but we reacted in the right way.

"Tuesday night against a Championship side under floodlights is never going to be easy, but we played some decent football all over the park.

"And we're very happy to be playing Manchester United at home again. The whole town will be happy about that."

The Terriers can now turn their attentions back to league action, where they have slipped into the bottom three on the back of a run of a run of eight games without a win.

Town are available at 5/2 to be relegated this season, while they are 3/10 to preserve their top-flight status.
