Chelsea manager Antonio Conte wants striker Diego Costa to concentrate on his football for the rest of the season.

The striker's future at Stamford Bridge appeared in doubt last month with Conte leaving him out amid speculation on a move to China.

I think now it's very important to be focused on the present and not to look so far forward.

However, Costa recovered his place and has been one of the main reasons why Chelsea appear destined for another Premier League title.

They have an eight point lead in the table but are in FA Cup action this weekend, Conte taking his team to Championship side Wolves.

Chelsea are 1/3 to book a quarter-final place, Paul Lambert's side are 9/1 while the draw is 19/4.

Costa has scored 15 league goals so far this campaign with five assists, so Conte understandably wants to keep him at the club beyond the end of the season.

However, the Chelsea boss wants all talk about the striker's long-term future put on hold while he concentrates on his football.

He told a press conference ahead of the Wolves game: "I don't know about this situation because I think now it's very important to be focused on the present and not to look so far forward.

"For the players and the people who work for Chelsea, it's important to focus on the present then at the end of the season we will see.

"Yeah I'm confident. It's important to keep the great concentration for the present. The present is tomorrow's game against Wolverhampton.

"This will be better to face at the end of the season."

Conte, whose team are 1/3 to win the FA Cup this season, may rest some players for the game at Molineux.

David Luiz is one player who may be given the afternoon off while Cesc Fabregas, Asmir Begovic, Michel Batshuayi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek will all be hoping for a start.
