Owls switch thrills Boyd
George Boyd can't wait for the new season to start after completing his transfer from Burnley to Sheffield Wednesday.
The 31-year-old moves to Hillsborough after spending the last three seasons with the Clarets.
Before moving to Turf Moor, Boyd enjoyed spells with Stevenage Borough, Peterborough United and Hull City.
He scored 12 goals in 115 league appearances for Burnley.
He said: "I'm delighted it's all done. As soon as I knew of the interest it was a no-brainer for me.
"It will be nice to meet up with everyone tomorrow and I'm excited and raring to get going.
"It's important you get a full pre-season under your belt, I can start now and build over the next weeks and get ready for the new season.
"Obviously the club have been close over the last two years and hopefully I can help get them over the line.
"It is a club that needs to be in the Premier League with the fans and the structure that is in place."
The Owls are 25/1 to be promoted from the Championship in the 2017/18 season and 13/8 to beat Preston North End on the opening weekend of the campaign.
