Neil keen to step up play-off push
Alex Neil has pinpointed Tuesday's match against Bristol City as vital as he attempts to guide Preston into the Championship play-off places.
Draw specialists Preston are ninth in the table, three points adrift of the sixth-placed Robins.
Neil's side have drawn 15 games so far this term, more than any other team in the Championship, while Bristol City have been involved in 12 draws themselves.
Former Norwich City and Hamilton Academical boss Neil said: "It will be a hard game. I think what is at stake for both teams is going to be huge.
"There are still 33 points to play for this season. However, when you are playing somebody who is in direct competition with what you're trying to do then it makes the game even bigger.
"It's going to be a big match for both teams and it's obviously one that we would like to go and try and win."
The last clash between the Lilywhites and City in November at Ashton Gate ended in a 2-1 win for Preston, who have lost only two of their last 18 league games.
