Neil demands focus for run-in
Alex Neil is happy with his Preston North End squad after allowing five players to leave Deepdale on loan during the January transfer window.
Marnick Vermijl, Kevin O'Connor, Andy Boyle, Ben Pringle and Eoin Doyle have all been sent out on loan and former Hamilton Academical and Norwich City boss Neil is now focused on finishing the Championship campaign well.
"We are getting people back from long-term injuries, hence we have been able to put players out on loan," the Scot said.
"They weren't playing much here, so the best thing for them and for us is that they go out and play football.
"We can concentrate on the players who are going to be heavily involved in the run-in. We have got a squad of 23 players and that is not including any of the young kids who can come in - there's got to be a pathway for some of them."
Preston are 20/1 to be promoted this season, while Leeds United can be backed at 66/1, Norwich City at 50/1 and Sheffield United at 9/1.
