Sheffield Wednesday manager Jos Luhukay hopes his side will give their all in Friday's derby clash against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
The Dutchman has enjoyed a 22-year career as a coach in Germany but knows that that Steel City derby will be a special occasion.
Luhukay was named as Carlos Carvalhal's successor as Owls boss last week with his team 16th in the Championship standings, having only won one of their last 11 league games.
United are seventh but have also been on a poor run since heading the table in November. The Blades beat Wednesday 4-2 at Hillsborough in September and are 3/4 to win Friday's match and 2500/1 to be promoted this season.
Luhukay said: "Friday is a special game for everyone. I know all about derbies and they are special games.
"I have had fantastic derbies in Germany and other countries and I think I can use what I have learned. We must try to give our best. I know we lost the first game so we try to change the situation.
"We have spoken as a team about the last game. There is a motivation for this game and we want to turn around this situation in the league."
The Owls are 17/4 to win the derby clash and 16/1 to edge it 2-1.
