Dutchman Jos Luhukay has been described as the 'perfect fit' after being named as the new manager of Sheffield Wednesday.
The Owls parted company with now Swansea City head coach Carlos Carvalhal just before Christmas and have been on the lookout for his successor over the festive period.

They have now settled on 54-year-old Luhukay, who has considerable coaching experience in Germany, having been in charge of the likes of Koln, Borussia Monchengladbach, Augsburg, Hertha Berlin and Stuttgart.
And Owls chairman Dejphon Chansiri is confident that his club have selected the right man of the job of getting Wednesday back on track in the Championship.
He told the club's official website: "Following an extensive search for the right candidate to take us forward, I am thoroughly convinced Jos is that man.
"His track record and experience suggested he was the perfect fit and, once I spoke with him, there was no doubt in my mind that Jos would become our new manager."
Meanwhile, Luhukay was laso delighted to have been handed an opportunity to try his luck in England, adding: "In Germany I have turned down offers from the Bundesliga and Second Bundesliga in recent months because I have been looking for an entirely new challenge.
"Sheffield Wednesday is exactly the exciting challenge for which I have been waiting."
Wednesday currently lie in 16th place in the Championship standings, having only won once in their last 11 league games.
They are priced at 2250/1 to be relegated this season, with Barnsley available at 4/5 and Burton Albion 2/9.
