RB Leipzig's Germany international striker Timo Werner remains calm in the face of ongoing rumours of interest in him from a number of clubs.

Both Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are reported to be keeping close tabs on the 21-year-old, whose current contract with Leipzig runs until the summer of 2020.

Of course you'll see that other clubs keep an eye out for you, but that does not concern me at the moment.

And Werner is not too concerned about the talk surrounding him and is focused on the here and now, with Leipzig having suffered a 4-0 thrashing at Hoffenheim on Saturday.

He told Welt am Sonntag: "I'm a national team player at the age of 21 and I've done well so far in the national team, and things are going well in the league.

"Of course you'll see that other clubs keep an eye out for you, but that does not concern me at the moment.

"My contract is still two-and-a-half years (to run), I have no pressure.

"The club must decide when the time has come for those responsible to renew the contract. Then I have to see if the time has come for me to extend - we will agree, one way or the other."

Former Stuttgart frontman Werner scored 21 times in the Bundesliga last season and has seven to his name during the current campaign.

He has also found the net seven times in ten appearances for the Germany national team, having made his debut for Die Mannschaft in March 2017 against England in Dortmund.

Meanwhile, Leipzig are 1/2 to finish in the top four in the Bundesliga this season, with Borussia Dortmund priced at 1/4 and Bayer Leverkusen 4/9.
