Borussia Dortmund have warned that wantaway striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will only be allowed to leave the Bundesliga club this month if 'certain criteria are met'.

The 28-year-old Gabon international is a reported target for Arsenal, with BVB accepting that Aubameyang will be leaving the club at some point in the near future.

Either our demands will be fulfilled and there will be a transfer, or they won't be and Auba plays for Dortmund until the summer.

However, sporting director Michael Zorc has told potential suitors that Dortmund are prepared to keep their star striker until the summer unless a deal is offered which they believe is adequate.

He told Sky Sports News: "We have our position, just as last summer when Barcelona tried to sign him. We are willing to work on a transfer if certain criteria are met.

"Arsenal have tried several times, but we have refused everything up until now. Either our demands will be fulfilled and there will be a transfer, or they won't be and Auba plays for Dortmund until the summer.

"That's what we have told the Aubameyang family and they accepted it."

Aubameyang, who has scored 98 goals in 144 Bundesliga appearances for BVB, was in action on Saturday as Dortmund rescued a 2-2 home draw against Freiburg.

Afterwards, head coach Peter Stoger admitted that both the player and the team as a whole had been far from their best.

He added: "I would say he has had better games. On the one hand, it certainly wasn't his best game, but, on the other, we didn't manage to give him decent service.

"In the end, he is part of a larger group of players who didn't give their best performance."

Dortmund are currently priced at 6/1 to win the Europa League this season, with Arsenal available at 9/2 and Napoli 12121/1.
