Striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang appears to have signalled that he will definitely remain at Borussia Dortmund for the coming campaign.

The 28-year-old Gabon international has been heavily linked with a move away from BVB, with several clubs in China, as well as AC Milan, reported to be interested in the gifted goal-getter.

None of the clubs that wanted me could make it happen, so I'll stay here at Borussia Dortmund.

However, having scored in the German Super Cup defeat to Bayern Munich on Saturday, Aubameyang told Welt am Sonntag that he has made a final decision to stay put.

He said: "No-one can say what the future holds.

"It is true that I spoke to Borussia Dortmund before I went on vacation. I told them my thoughts, that I was maybe ready to try something different. It was open and fair with Michael Zorc and Hans-Joachin Watzke.

"But none of the clubs that wanted me could make it happen, so I'll stay here at Borussia Dortmund. I like staying here very much, as I feel at home in Dortmund."

Aubameyang, who started out amongst the youth ranks with Milan, has been with Dortmund since the summer of 2013, scoring 121 goals in 190 appearances in all competitions.

He netted the winner in the final of the DFB-Pokal at the end of last season, as BVB edged out Borussia Monchengladbach in Berlin.

Dortmund can be backed at 8/13 to win the Bundesliga without Bayern this season, with RB Leipzig priced at 9/4 and Hoffenheim 25/1.
