Ancelotti: Vidal stays put

Bayern Munich head coach Carlo Ancelotti has dismissed rumours that Arturo Vidal could leave the Allianz Arena to join Inter Milan this summer.

The 30-year-old Chile international midfielder has spent the last two seasons with Bayern, helping them win a domestic double in 2015/16 and the Bundesliga title again last season.

He'll stay with us 100 per cent - I'm confident about that.

Vidal has also been a vital member of the Chile squad who have won the last two Copa Americas, having previously played for Juventus, Bayer Leverkusen and Colo Colo at club level.

And Ancelotti is adamant that Vidal is going nowhere, telling reporters ahead of a pre-season clash with Chelsea in Singapore: "There's no chance of it (him leaving).

"Vidal is our player, I have a lot of confidence. I know there are rumours and we are used to rumours. He'll stay with us 100 per cent - I'm confident about that."

Meanwhile, Ancelotti has admitted that Portugal schemer Renato Sanches could move on, having struggled to make an impact during his first season with Bayern.

With clubs in Italy and England reportedly interested in the 19-year-old midfielder, Ancelotti added: "At this time, he's training with us. We have to make a decision.

"A move could be a possibility, but there is also a chance he could stay with us for the season."

Die Roten can be backed at 13/2 to win the Champions League next season, with holders Real Madrid available at 4/1 and Paris Saint-Germain 5/1.
