Sydney FC have confirmed the signing of defender Ben Warland from Adelaide United.
The defending A-League champions also hope to complete a deal with Fabio Ferreira in the coming days.

Adelaide had rejected an initial approach for Warland from the Sky Blues, but when the 21-year-old made it clear he wanted to move they agreed to release him ahead of the transfer deadline.
Ferreira can still be signed after the closure of the transfer window as he is a free agent.
Warland, who has signed a deal through to the end of next season, is seen as an ideal replacement for Seb Ryall who was released two weeks ago.
Coach Graham Arnold has been watching the left-footed central defender for a while and said he'd been impressed by the potential he had shown.
"He possesses all the right traits to be a Sky Blue and he'll fit in well with this squad," added Arnold.
The Sky Blues have also been on the hunt for a wide attacker as they approach their busiest part of the season when they will start their Asian Champions League group campaign.
One import slot remains free and is likely to go to Ferreira, who has proved his fitness training with Sydney and has Australian citizenship.
The Portuguese winger, who spent four years at Chelsea at the start of his career, has had A-League experience with Adelaide United and Central Coast.
Arnold said Ferreira had been training with the Sky Blues for ten days and was one of half a dozen players the club were looking at.
The coach added: "It's just a matter of managing the salary cap and making sure we've got the money, but with the loan system that's in place as well you can also loan players."
The Sky Blues are 2/5 to win their next game against Wellington, who are 7/1, with the draw 7/2.
