Arnold: We're better than last year
Graham Arnold believes Sydney FC have a stronger squad going into the new A-League campaign than the one that won the double last season.
The Sky Blues coach was determined not to rest on his laurels after the 2016-17 success, setting his sights on creating a dynasty.
Sydney FC go into Wednesday's FFA Cup quarter-final with Melbourne City looking to take a step closer to holding all three trophies at the same time.

Arnold has retained the core of his championship-winning squad for the new season, while bringing in the likes of Adrian Mierzejewski, Luke Wilkshire, Anthony Kalik and Paulo Retre.
A big test will come when they face holders City at Leichhardt Oval for a place in the FFA Cup semi-finals.
So far their cup campaign has been straightforward as they've played two part-time sides. They thrashed Darwin Rovers 8-0 in the Round of 32, then beat Bankstown Berries 3-0 late last month.
Arnold said: "I was really excited when we got Melbourne City in the draw, we're looking forward to stepping up our performances. We've been performing around 50 per cent status and now we need to step up and we will on Wednesday night."
It will also be a revenge mission for the Sky Blues, who lost last year's final when Tim Cahill scored the only goal for City.
Arnold says there is a lot of belief in the squad that they are stronger than they were last season.
"The new signings are fantastic. I believe that we have a greater squad than what we had last season, the new players have settled in very well," he added.
"The boys are extremely fit; it's scary to think that we'll be even fitter than last season and how we run over teams in the second half, I can see that happening again. The players are in top shape."
Sydney FC are 13/20 to beat Melbourne City, who are 4/1 with the draw 14/5.
