Test specialist Shannon Gabriel has signed for reigning champions Trinbago Knight Riders in this year's Caribbean Premier League.
West Indies fast bowler Gabriel has not played in the Twenty20 tournament since the 2015 edition, primarily due to his international commitments.
Twelve months ago he was on the West Indies' tour of England but this year he and others from the Test squad like captain Jason Holder are available and featuring.
Gabriel comes in to replace South African paceman Junior Dala who is no longer available for the tournament that runs from August 8th to September 16th as he has been selected for South Africa's tour to Sri Lanka.
Venky Mysore, director of the Knight Riders said: "Shannon is a world-class bowler, and he has shown that in international cricket.
"It is great to have him joining the TKR family. We are really looking forward to getting our title defence under way on August 8th."
Gabriel rejoins the Knight Riders group having previously represented the Trinidad franchise four years ago. He then spent the following season with the St Lucia Stars team.
The 30-year-old claimed 20 wickets in the 1-1 draw between West Indies and the Sri Lankans this month, bursting through the 100-barrier in the process.
His 103 career victims have come at a respectable average of 30.52 runs apiece.
