Northamptonshire head coach David Ripley is thrilled that they have managed to re-sign Seekkuge Prasanna for this summer's T20 Blast campaign.
The Sri Lanka all-rounder played 10 games for the Steelbacks in 2016 when they won the competition.
The 30-year-old will be available for their first group game against Leicestershire on 4th July.
"We know he's capable of boundary hitting - he's an archetypal T20 cricketer," said Ripley. "He gives it a whack, is a nice fielder and obviously brings wicket-taking potential for us in those middle overs."
Northamptonshire strengthened their bowling attack last month by signing the New Zealand international Doug Bracewell.
Bracewell has featured in 60 international matches for his country and was involved in the Black Caps team for the recent one-day series against West Indies.
He has been played in 27 Tests and taken 72 wickets.
Bracewell said: "I'm grateful for the opportunity ahead at Northants and am very much looking forward to working with the club for the start of the county season.
"It's a great opportunity to challenge myself in different conditions and I am hoping to improve as a player but also make a difference at the club while I'm there."
Meanwhile, England are 9/4 to win the 2019 World Cup.
