Pacquiao crumbles to shock loss
Manny Pacquiao had no excuses after suffering a shock WBO world welterweight title defeat to Jeff Horn on Saturday.
The 29-year-old Australian was handed a unanimous points decision by the judges in Brisbane who scored the bout 117-111, 115-113, 115-113 in his favour.
"That's the decision of the judges. I respect that," said 38-year-old Pacquiao, who has now lost four of his last nine fights.
"It's the crowd behind me, all the support," a thrilled Horn said when asked how he managed to win.
Both men were covered in blood in the closing stages of the fight, Horn from a cut above his left eye, and Pacquiao from cuts to the head.
Horn, who has now won 17 and drawn one of his 18 bouts, edged the opening rounds before Pacquiao responded with a fine counter-attack in the ninth round.
However, Horn refused to be cowed and hit back to win the tenth round and eventually seal a famous victory.
Meanwhile, Chris Eubank Jnr is 1/9 to beat Arthur Abraham later this month.
