Anthony Joshua has confirmed that "there is no doubt" that he will face Deontay Wilder in a heavyweight showdown and it could happen this year.
The 28-year-old has still yet to agree a deal with Wilder, despite the American offering him $50million for a showdown at the end of April.
However, it seems certain that Joshua will put his IBF, WBA 'Super' and WBO straps on the line against the 32-year-old WBC belt holder to determine the undisputed champion of the world.
I want to build this fight to the full potential. I want it in the UK, they want it in America. It's little things like that we need to sort.Anthony Joshua
When Joshua was asked at the Tony Bellew- David Haye fight on Saturday about the possibility of him facing Wilder, he told Sky Sports: "The fight is going to happen, there's no doubt about it.
"Potentially 95 per cent this year. I can't offer you ten quid and buy your life.
"The devil is in the detail. I'm really interested but you can't talk about finances anymore, because I'm well aware there is financial gain.
"You can't just offer me a buyout fee though. I'm not here to sell my belts and let you take control of the whole fight.
"I want to build this fight to the full potential. I want it in the UK, they want it in America. It's little things like that we need to sort.
"We've got a long time to finalise things though. Potentially it will be the end of the year but I'm really interested."
Joshua is 4/9 to win a future heavyweight showdown, while Wilder is priced at 7/4 to win.
