Kaepernick continues as starter for 49ers

Colin Kaepernick will remain as the starting quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers despite the return of Alex Smith from a concussion injury.

Sunday the Niners, the team with the biggest positive points differential in the NFC take on the side with the third worst in the St. Louis Rams.

Now standing at an impressive +121 following victories over the Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints the question that needs to be asked is how the Niners and Rams tied in week 10 of the NFL season at Candlestick Park.

Certainly part of the 24-24 result was due to the lose of quarterback Alex Smith through the concussion injury, but still the result seems to be an aberration in the successful San Francisco season so far.

QB Colin Kaepernick will continue to get the start as head coach Jim Harbaugh continues to go with the hot hand.

The Seattle Seahawks, second in the NFC West behind San Francisco, take their 1-5 road record to Soldier Field in Chicago to play the Bears.

Unbeatable at home where Seattle has defeated the Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots.

Minnesota Vikings and New York Jets, almost the complete opposite is true on the road where only a win over the Charlotte Panthers counters five defeats.

Still the Seahawks do maintain the sixth seed in the NFC, ahead of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Minnesota Vikings.

Losers of seven in a row, after a 4-0 start, the Arizona Cardinals are at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford to play the New York Jets before traveling to Seattle next week.

The Houston Texans are 80/1 to win the Super Bowl, while the New England Patriots are 11/10.
