Broncos play Bengals in Cincinnati
Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos head to Cincinnati this weekend to play the Bengals with a one game lead in the AFC West.
Winners of three of their last four outings, the Broncos have seen Manning throw three touchdowns in each of those games with a single interception, against San Diego, in a string of 300+ yard outings. Combined with a strong Denver running game, and a very easy schedule the rest of the way, the Broncos could easily end the season 12-4 after starting 1-2 with losses to the Atlanta Falcons and Houston Texans. Denver out rushed the New Orleans Saints 225 yards to 51 last week and a similar ratio could be seen in Cincinnati against a Bengal offense that has no running game to speak of.
The Broncos are 1212/1 to win the Super Bowl, while the Falcons are priced at 11/2.
The San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders trail Denver by a single game, but the Chargers appear to be rapidly heading in the other direction after losing three in a row including 7-6 shocker last weekend to the Cleveland Browns. San Diego hosts the visit of the 1-6 Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday evening at Qualcomm Stadium and after the defeat in Cleveland there can be no presumptions of an easy Chargers' win.
Oakland welcomes in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the O.co Coliseum. Sporting a somewhat misleading two-game winning streak, after triumphs over the Jacksonville Jaguars and Kansas City Chiefs, the Raiders face a well-rested Buccaneer squad who are coming off a satisfying upset of the Minnesota Vikings. Rookie running back Doug Martin had 214 all-purpose yards in the win and should again be the focus of the Tampa Bay offense.
