Broncos host Kansas City Chiefs
The Denver Broncos will go in search of their 11th consecutive victory on Sunday, and a potential first round post-season bye, when they play the Kansas City Chiefs.
Tied with the Houston Texans with a 12-3 record atop the AFC standings, the Broncos can take the top seed if they win and the Texans lose in Indianapolis. However an upset loss at home and a New England over Miami would see the Patriots grab one of the two first round byes and the Broncos would then host the visit of the sixth seed.
Should the Chiefs lose to the Broncos, Kansas City will have the top pick in next year's NFL draft, an unfortunate position to be in with no consensus number one pick overall and no high ranking quarterback at a position the Chiefs desperately need. Losers of three in a row and winners over just the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers this season, there appear to be major changes in store at Arrowhead Stadium starting with a change at the general manager and head coach level.
The same appears to be true in San Diego and the 6-9 Chargers complete their season by hosting the Oakland Raiders at Qualcomm Stadium. San Diego opened the campaign with a 22-14 win in Oakland in the first week of the season and will look to sweep their long-time rivals. Matt Leinart will take over for the injured Carson Palmer under center for the Raiders and former Ohio State start Terrelle Pryor is also expected to see action.
The Broncos are 1212/1 to win the Super Bowl while the Patriots are 11/10 and the Packers are 25/1.
