Spurs looking to fry Nuggets
The suddenly struggling San Antonio Spurs side heads to the Pepsi Center in Denver looking for a change of fortune against the Nuggets.
The Spurs still lead the Southwest Division by a game over the Memphis Grizzlies, but have won just six of their last 10 outings, falling on Monday 107-93 to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
With no Manu Ginobili to come off the bench to provide that extra spark, the Spurs were flat, led by Tony Parker's 14 points on 4-of-11 shooting.
Serge Ibaka was the star of the evening for the hosts adding 17 rebound to go with his 25 points and recording back-to-back double-doubles for the first time in nearly a month since doing so on either side of Thanksgiving against the Los Angeles Clippers and Boston Celtics.
The Spurs are 6/5 to win in Denver, with the Nuggets 5/7.
Oklahoma City next travels to Atlanta to play the Hawks in an intriguing match-up.
In the Pacific Division the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers continue their pursuit of the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Warriors, now two games behind the Clippers atop the Division, welcome in the New Orleans Hornets to the Oracle Arena in Oakland, while the Charlotte Bobcats arrive at the Staples Center in LA to take on the Lakers.
The Clippers bring back a 10-game winning streak to LA after defeating the Detroit Pistons at The Palace of Auburn Hills on Monday.
Blake Griffin and Jamal Crawford each had 15 points, the latter off the bench, in the 88-76 win and Wednesday the Hornets will travel down from Northern California after their game with the Warriors to play the Clippers in LA.
