Raptors ready for Cavaliers test
The Toronto Raptors return home on Saturday from their two-game road swing in Florida to host the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Just four games behind the free-falling Boston Celtics in the race for the final play-off place in the Eastern Conference, the Raptors have an opportunity to take advantage of their schedule with seven of the next nine games played at home starting with the Cavs and continuing on Monday with the visit of the Golden State Warriors.
On Friday, the Celtics pushed the Atlanta Hawks to double overtime, but eventually fell 123-111 at the Philips Arena. Seven Boston players were in double figures led by Kevin Garnett who was 11-of-18 from the field for 24 points.
However, none could top Kyle Korver's game-high 27 points for the hosts. Both sides rest up on Saturday before the Celtics await the visit of the Miami Heat and the Hawks travel to Madison Square Garden in New York to face the Knicks in two of the marquee matchups on Sunday.
In the Central Division the Chicago Bulls lead the Indiana Pacers by a half-game after knocking off the visiting Golden State Warriors 103-87 at the United Center. Carlos Boozer, Jimmy Butler and Joakim Noah all recorded double-doubles for the Bulls as Chicago out rebounded the visitors by 19.
It's now straight back into action for Chicago who play the Washington Wizards at the Verizon Center before the Bulls return home on Monday as the Charlotte Bobcats come into town.
The Bulls are 7500/1 to win this season's NBA Championship while the Heat can be backed at 3/4 and the Celtics at 7500/1.
