Nets travel to Toronto

The reeling Brooklyn Nets are at the Air Canada Center in Toronto on Wednesday after losing to the New York Knicks on Tuesday evening.

Carmelo Anthony was 15-of-24 from the floor including 5-of-7 from downtown to lead all scorers with 45 points as the Knicks rallied from a half-time deficit to run out 100-97 winners at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. It was the fifth consecutive defeat for the Nets who lost all four games on their home stand falling to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, Milwaukee Bucks and Knicks to see themselves fall out of second place in the Atlantic Division. Toronto has also lost five in a row, after a disappointing road trip out West to Denver, Sacramento, Utah, Los Angeles and Portland, and now welcomes in the Nets, Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets into town.

The Nets defeat moved the idle Philadelphia 76ers into second place in the Division and Philly will look to improve on their 12-9 record on Wednesday when they host the Chicago Bulls at the Wells Fargo Center. Chicago, who lead the Central Division by a half game over the Milwaukee Bucks, head into the game after losing to the Los Angeles Clippers at the United Center on Tuesday.

Down in Miami the Southeast Division-leading Heat host the red-hot Golden State Warriors, winners of four straight, while the Atlanta Hawks make the short journey to Orlando to play the Magic. Both the Heat and Hawks are 8-2 in their past 10 outings, tied with the Knicks as the form sides in the Conference.

The Knicks are 1000/1 to win the NBA Championship while the Nets are at 7500/1.
