Celtics visit Bulls in Chicago

Doc Rivers will hope that his Celtics can get back on the winning trail.

The Boston Celtics will look to avoid a winless road trip when they play the Chicago Bulls at the United Center on Tuesday.

Losers to the Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs on Friday and Saturday in the first two-games of the three-game trip, the Celtics return home to the TD Garden in Boston on Wednesday to host the Cleveland Cavaliers.

But first, the Central Division leaders stand in their way. The Bulls are coming off something of a stinker on Monday when they scored just 71 points in a loss to the Grizzlies at the FedEx Forum in Memphis.

Both sides shot 37% from the field in an ugly contest that sees Chicago now just a half game ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers in their Division.

The Bulls are 4/5 to win Wednesday's game, with the Celtics 21/20.

The Bucks and Pacers meet on Tuesday at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee.

Indiana has won three in a row over the Cavaliers, Philadelphia 76ers and Detroit Pistons to increase their December record to 5-3.

In Cleveland the Toronto Raptors have a winnable game against the Cavaliers at the Quicken Loans Arena before returning home to host the visit of the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday.

Winners of two in a row, the Raptors could quite easily increase that to four against their fellow strugglers.

The only side below the Pistons, Raptors and Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference are the Washington Wizards and the cellar dwellers welcome in the Atlanta Hawks to the Verizon Center on Tuesday.

Former first pick overall, John Wall, continues to sit through injury and the Wizards may well be without their star for the entire season.
