The Boston Red Sox leave the friendly confines of Fenway Park on Monday as they visit the Astros, Royals and Blue Jays in a 10-game road swing.

John Lackey heads to the hill for the visitors at Minute Maid Park in Houston in the opener as the veteran right-hander attempts to win his first game in three weeks after defeats to the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles and a no-decision against the Seattle Mariners last time out.

Sunday the Red Sox maintained their one game lead over the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League East Division with a 4-0 shutout of the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks.

Felix Doubront (8-5) picked up the victory getting the better of the returning Brandon McCarthy (2-5) who came off the Disabled List to make the start, but took the loss.

Down at Tropicana Field in St.Petersburg the Rays edged the visiting San Francisco Giants 4-3. Wil Myers cranked his eighth home run since being called up in the middle of June as Tampa Bay won its seventh game in the last 10.

Tuesday the Rays are at Chase Field in Phoenix to open a series with the Diamondbacks as the two sides play for the second time in a week after meeting in Florida last Tuesday and Wednesday.

Nine and a half games back in the Division, the New York Yankees will be in Chicago on Monday to play the White Sox at US Cellular Field.

Andy Pettitte heads to the hill for the visitors and the South Siders are scheduled to counter with Jose Quintana.

Boston are 5/7 to win the World Series, with New York Yankees at 500/1 to take the title.
