Kvitova hopes for Parisian boost

Petra Kvitova is determined to put her poor recent form to one side when she attempts to win a second Open GDF Suez title in Paris this week.

Two years ago the Czech Republic star beat Kim Clijsters in the final of the tournament and five months later she went on to secure the Wimbledon title.

I want to be relaxed on the court and take a different approach after some tough results in Australia.

Since that Grand Slam title though, Kvitova has lost her way and was beaten by Laura Robson at the Australian Open earlier this month.

However, Kvitova is looking forward to getting back on track in France, saying: "Of course, I'm really looking forward to coming to Paris.

"I have always had a great time playing there, especially in 2011 when I won the title and beat Kim. I feel comfortable there so hope I can get some good matches."

Kvitova is 1212/1 to win the tournament while Sara Errani can be backed at 5/4, last year's runner-up Marion Bartoli at 1212/1 and Roberta Vinci at 1212/1.

"My goal is just to play matches," Kvitova added. "I want to be relaxed on the court and take a different approach after some tough results in Australia.

"I am also hoping to play doubles, which is something rare for me, so I hope that will be fun too."
