Time Prisoner back with a bang

Godolphin's Time Prisoner - off the track for a year - stormed to victory on his return at Meydan yesterday to give promise of even better things to come.

In the gifted hands of Mickael Barzalona, the six-year-old lifted the DUBAL Trophy Handicap on turf to draw high praise from his trainer Mahmood Al Zarooni.

If everything goes his way, he can improve on the form he showed at the Carnival in 2012.

He's an animal we may well see in the United Kingdom next Flat season and should that be the case, he definitely looks to be one to follow.

He was settled in mid-division of the 16 runners before Barzalona switched him to the outside just before the field hit the straight.

He was only seventh with a furlong and a half to race, but his relentless run eventually wore down those in front of him as they approached the line.

Trainer Al Zarooni said: "I have liked this horse since last year. If everything goes his way, he can improve on the form he showed at the Carnival in 2012."

Barzalona added: "He is a very good horse and gave everything tonight - we are very happy. I know this horse very well. I ride him a lot at the yard."

Meanwhile, Shanghai Bobby is 999/1 to win the Kentucky Derby in early May, with Violence 999/1 and Uncaptured 999/1.
