Our Ivor to race at the weekend
Jockey Andrew Mullen handed racegoers a helping hand when he revealed that yesterday's Southwell winner Our Ivor could go again on Sunday.
Trainer Michael Appelby's four-year-old showed terrific battling qualities to get the verdict over Miami Gator as the pair went head-to-head inside the final furlong before Our Ivor won by a length.

Mullen was delighted and immediately said: "He will be racing again at the weekend. He did that really well. He's a great big horse but he's also a great big baby. Having said that it means there's plenty more to come.
"He likes it around here and showed he's a fighter. Mr Appelby's going to be very pleased with that. He's in Dubai at the moment so that's going to be good news for him. I expect the horse to go on from this and there may be some decent little races to be won with him."
Meanwhile, Joe Fanning was pleased with his winner Caledonia Prince for Jo Hughes and believes there is "a lot more to come" from his own Mark Johnston's yard in the shape of Mirth who ran second in a later race on debut.
He said: "We haven't done a great deal with her and there would clearly be more to come from her."
Sir Des Champs is 4/1 to win the Gold Cup, with Long Run 7/2 and First Lieutenant 999/1.
