O'Reagan pleased with Doncaster run out

Denis O'Reagan rode a brilliant treble at Doncaster yesterday with his ride aboard The Chazer showing the Irishman at his very best.

The horse got into a good rhythm and it's a long run in so I was never really worried.

The horse had something in the order of a dozen lengths to make up on the two front runners but inch by previous inch he got there to overhaul What a Warrior by a couple of lengths.

Afterwards he said: "The horse got into a good rhythm and it's a long run in so I was never really worried. The trainer told me how to ride him so he gets all the credit really."

The eagerly awaited second run of Pine Creek, Jeremy Scott's novice was another O'Reagan masterclass in riding.

He clobbered Ubaldo Des Menhies close home to show he has courage as well as pace and O'Reagan said: "The runner-up went well for a long way and made a real race of it.

"But Pine Creek was up to the job and did enough to show me that he has an exciting future."

The O'Reagan drive was again in evidence in the last when he drove home Memorabilia to win a head from Jack the Gent.

Meanwhile, in the 15.35 at Newbury on Saturday Dark Lover can be backed at 16/1 in the win and each way market, while Pearl Swan is 9/1.
