Meehan thinks Lilly White has a chance

Newmarket trainer Brian Meehan is continuing his winter search for winners and, as the National Hunt meetings start to be claimed by the weather, each runner of his is worth a second look.

Today at Kempton Park he runs Lilly White (16/1) in the 4.30 - a horse that is still to make an impact but the trainer doesn't put anybody off having a small interest.

He said: "She is having her second 'go' off an eight pound lower handicap mark and is drawn in six which is decent.

"Her US pedigree suggests she should get a mile and that it will suit her better than six furlongs over which she was outpaced last time."

Tomorrow Meehan runs Roman Order in Lingfield's 1.10 - a horse he believes deserves a reward for some consistent performances.

He added: "The colt has been running over longer distances but reverted to tomorrow's trip when finished third in a Chantilly claimer.

"He is running here in preference to a similar race at Deauville and has good each-way claims."
