Redknapp unsure about England

Harry Redknapp seems to be dropping clues thick and fast that his future looks more likely to be at Tottenham Hotspur than England.

After being widely reported on Tuesday morning as saying he's "not sure" about England, he has now delivered another 'directive' which is aimed at helping club rather than country.

His "I'm not sure" remarks were reported initially in L'Equipe, but within the same article was another far more pertinent comment which seems to suggest that his thoughts are becoming more and more distanced from the England job.

He declared: "Our owner is prepared to pay for an exceptional talent like Eden Hazard. I've seen him many times, most recently against Marseille. But I know Manchester United are following him and Manchester City, too. It will be difficult to get him here. But I like him a lot."

That is quite simply not the talk of a man considering leaving a club and, given that it has taken him a lifetime in management to find a club which gives him all their faith and money, his odds for the England job may soon need to be adjusted.

For Harry, it begins to appear, could be at White Hart Lane for some years to come. Redknapp is 11/2 to be England's next permanent manager, while Roy Hodgson can be backed at 1/8, Stuart Pearce at 20/1 and Jose Mourinho at 50/1.
