Ambitious Forest axe O'Driscoll
Championship outfit Nottingham Forest surprisingly sacked manager Sean O'Driscoll on the same day as his side won 4-2 at home to Leeds United.
O'Driscoll, who only took charge at the City Ground in the summer, was shown the door despite his side being eighth in the table and just a single point outside the play-off places.

Chairman Fawaz Al Hasawi accepted that the timing of the decision may seem strange, but insisted that it was the right call for the long-term project he hopes to help build.
He told the club's official website: "Sometimes changes need to be made from a position of strength rather than weakness and that is what we are trying to do.
"We are looking to bring in an ambitious manager with Premier League experience. We have a responsibility to look to the future for this great club, because we have huge ambitions for it.
"And with the January transfer window approaching, we feel it's the right time to make a change."
Next up for Forest is a home clash with high-flying Crystal Palace on Saturday, with the Eagles having dropped to fourth place in the table after losing 2-1 at leaders Cardiff City on Boxing Day.
Forest are 13/10 to win the City Ground clash, with the draw 12/5, while Palace are 2/1 to take all three points from their trip to the Midlands.
