Glory target maiden win over GCU
Perth Glory coach Ian Ferguson has said that in order to show that they are genuine contenders for the A-League title, they must register their first-ever win over Gold Coast United this weekend.
Glory's win over Central Coast Mariners last week booked their place in the A-League playoffs for only the second time in their history, and if they defeat the struggling GCU, they will get to host their first home final as well.

Perth will travel to play Gold Coast on Sunday at Skilled Park. The Glory are 8/5 to win that encounter, with a win for the home side available at 7/4. A draw between the two sides can be backed at 23/10.
Ferguson's side has a mathematical chance of finishing at the top of the A-League ahead of the likes of Central Coast and Brisbane Roar. But the Glory coach claims that his target is to secure a position high enough to get them a home final and so he is not targeting anything more than that at the moment.
In Friday's pre-match interview, Ferguson said: "If we want to go on and try to get to Grand Finals then there's certain games you have to win and this is one of them.
"Even though we've reached our target of top six, we're not happy to just accept that. We want to go on and do the best we can and aspire to better things. The challenge is there for everybody.
"Considering we've only reached the finals twice in seven years I'd say it's definitely been a step in the right direction. But I want more, I want to go higher."
