Bollinger backs CSK for third title
Australian fast bowler Doug Bollinger believes his club, Chennai Super Kings', varied bowling attack can win them their third IPL championship.
Chennai, who won the 2011 title by beating Royal Challengers Bangalore in the deciding match, are hoping to successfully defend their title in the upcoming edition of the tournament.
I think we are pretty relaxed going into the fifth season and have plenty of options.Doug Bollinger
The fifth IPL tournament is scheduled to start on Wednesday. Chennai Super Kings are 1/1 to win their opening match against the Sachin Tendulkar-led Mumbai Indians, who are 4/5 to emerge victorious.
On Monday, Bollinger, who is CSK's main paceman, said: "Albie Morkel has done a really good job (as a pacer). Our spinners Jackie (Shadab Jakati) and R Ashwin have been fantastic. So I don't think we feel that much pressure. We've won back-to-back IPL editions.
"I think we're pretty relaxed going into the fifth season and have plenty of options. We have good spinners in our ranks. We're having a great time. The guys have been playing cricket for six to seven months now. So we all know what to do. We just want to win on Wednesday (against Mumbai Indians in the opener)."
The Super Kings have several Aussie representatives on their books. In addition to Bollinger and Mike Hussey, they have signed Ben Hilfenhaus, who is currently touring the Caribbean with his national side.
About Hilfenhaus, Bollinger added: "He is bowling really well for Australia. Good luck to him. It is great to have a bowler like him in your team. He was a little bit injured last year. He has come back and bowled really well. He is swinging the ball well. It would be good to see how he goes."
