Ibrahimovic expected back for Liverpool visit
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho says he is almost certain of having Zlatan Ibrahimovic available for Sunday's big game against Liverpool.
The Swede has not played in the Red Devil's last two matches, watching the FA Cup clash with Reading from the bench before missing Tuesday's encounter with Hull through illness.
Mourinho's men have coped without the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, winning both games, but will be eager to see him on the field this weekend.
United play host to fierce rivals Liverpool looking to close the gap on their Merseyside opponents, who are currently second in the Premier League, five points ahead of Mourinho and co.
The Old Trafford giants head into the game having won their last nine in all competitions, a run partly powered by Ibrahimovic's recent scoring streak.
The 35-year-old has scored 12 times since the start of November and is 1/1 to score anytime against Liverpool.
Mourinho hopes he can extend his good form in front of goal should he makes his return to action.
"Zlatan is ill so I think no problem, I think he will be fine," Mourinho said.
Meanwhile, Mourinho has called on the United fans to create an inspiring atmosphere fore his players on Sunday after an unusual subdued atmosphere in Tuesday's 2-0 EFL Cup win over Hull.
"If we play enthusiastic football the fans come to the pitch and play with us. When we don't play with great intensity it is normal that the fans are not so vocal.
"But we have absolutely amazing fans, fans who push us and get behind us.
"Everybody likes big games - players, managers, fans. Everyone loves big matches so let's go for that one on Sunday."
United are 1/1 to beat Liverpool on Sunday, with the Reds 10/3 and the draw 12/5.
